Electronic Stability Program (ESP^TM)* constantly compares the driver's intended course with the vehicle's actual course and detects differences, applying the brakes to individual wheels and controlling engine power to help keep the vehicle on its intended path.

* No system, no matter how sophisticated, can repeal the laws of physics or overcome careless driving actions. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can affect.
